Congratulations to all the participants!!

The Michigan Radiological Society Resident Conference was a great success!  Two hundred residents from twelve programs across the state participated in the day long program that included topics of interest to residents such as "The Real World after Training: How to Find a Job" by Daniel T. Myers, MD;  "The Future of the Radiological Boards" by N. Reed Dunnick, MD;  "Service in the American College of Radiology" by Kevin M. O'Brien, MD; and a panel discussion "Fellowship Training."  Following tradition, the conference included the ever-popular Quiz Bowl, won by Grand Rapids Medical Education & Research Center/Michigan State University Radiology Residency Program.

New to the resident conference this year was the Resident Research Forum.  We are very pleased to have had sixteen residents who presented posters that were displayed around the room.  Of the sixteen, four were chosen to present their abstracts orally: Gautam Bahl, MD, Wayne State University; Jerrell Ingalls, MD, GRMERC/MSU;  Khalid Javeri, MD, Henry Ford Hospital; and Waleska Pabon-Ramos, MD, University of Michigan.

The winning project of the 2008 Resident Research Forum was Khalid Javeri, MD, from Henry Ford Hospital.
